Default Nx350h 2024 Faulty Tires?

Good day everyone. I am wondering if anyone has had trouble with nx350h run flats. I literally purchased a new nx350h 2024and within 72 hours my tires had a flat. Could the tires be faulty? While riding along a perfectly normal street I hear a pop and by the time I drive 1000 feet there is air coming out of the tire. I went back and looked on the road and there was nothing there.

I find it weird that while at the dealership I was asked repeatedly to purchase tire insurance as I’ve always had no problem with tires on my other vehicles, I declined. It’s almost as if they know the tires were bad.
Has anyone experienced something similar?

This does sound strange.
How does the tire actually look - how is it leaking? I’d guess that the tire manufacturer would cover the tire if there is a defect. How it failed should give you a clue.

Thanks for your response. Super strange there seems to be some sort of whole almost like a plug was removed. It’s at the dealer hopefully they can do something the Bridgestone was too far to drive my run flats.
what I find equally odd is the finance manager’s insistence that I purchase tire insurance. With the parting words “I hope you’re not sorry.” I didn’t want to spend an additional 5k on tire insurance. Do they know these tires are bad. I’m at a loss.

Keep us posted as to what the dealer says… but if they charge you a lot for a new tire and install I’d be suspicious. You could always check with your local discount tire to see how much they’d charge for one tire installed, and see if they’d be able to work with Bridgestone in case it’s a tire defect.

As one reference point, Costco has the RFT 18" for the NX currently priced at $295.99.

Set of 4 at Costco is $1183.96 (before discounts). $295.99 is for single tire.

Thanks everyone I really appreciate all the good advice. Ultimately, the dealer charged me $400. It seems there was some sort of puncture, they don’t think the tire was defective it just seems that I unfortunately may have ridden over something that punctured the tire.

Thanks so much about Costco. That’s good to know.

Wow, that is like the equivalent of 3 or 4 sets of tires or 2 sets with extra rims. No one would buy that unless they were at the track every weekend doing burn outs or taking hard corners at 100mph.

I believe even declining a dealership tire warranty, there should still be a tire manufacturer's warranty if it does turn out to be a defective tire. Without a spare though, its kind of hard to get to a tire store unless you can find another way of just taking the one wheel in. I just had 4 new tires put on my wife's car at Costco. Went to pick it up after, one of the 4 new tires was already flat. Turned out they had installed a defective valve. Without an inspection, its pointless to speculate why the tire went flat. Being a brand new tire it could be defective, ir could be just an installation issue, or you were super unlucky and picked up a puncture right away.

8 months in and 5.3K miles on my wife's NX350h. Just had its first flat last Friday, right stack in the middle of passenger rear tire. America's Tire was able to patch it. Otherwise it would cost me $300+.
