Follow the recommended service schedule for engine oil and oil filter changes as Lexus recommends - every 10k miles or every year.

I just recently had my yearly engine oil and oil filter change done, along with the 15k mile maintenance service. All that was needed besides the oil and filter change was for the windshield washer reservoir to be topped-off. I had driven a whopping 4,574 Miles since the last engine oil and filter change exactly one year ago.

Congrats on the new vehicle! Please share some details about your car - i.e. color, options, mods, etc.

If you can share some photos, that's even better.

P.S. - I added you as a friend on here!

Not sure of the color but it’s like dark blueish, brown interior, and no mods yet. Luxury & cold package!

I personally would 1/2 what is recommended in the owners manual to be on the conservative side.

It depends on YOUR intention what you want to get out of the vehicle.

The best way to really know is if you pay and do multiple oil analysis over the interval range of oil change. You'll know 100% if and how much wear metals is in the engine, viscosity, TBN numbers, additives left, and even silica (from aftermarket airfilters), coolant detected etc. No guest work or assumptions just real datalogging.

At 90,000 miles you are most likely be the 2nd 3rd or even the 4th owner. At a minimum follow the recommended OC interval in the book. Be mindful that the recommended in the owners manual is intended for the first owner not 2nd, 3rd 4th who will want to keep it until the wheels falls off.

All manufacturer assumes the majority of first owner will lease the new car for 3-4 years and flip it for another new car and rinse and repeat and stay with brand. Its great business to have this continually turn over.

So the first 3-4 years the new owner will say, hey I've only spent $150 per year on oil change and nothing went wrong with the car/brand. I'll buy another and stick with the same brand.
Imagine if the brand/owners manual say, OC interval at every 6 months, major service at every 3 years? The owner will think I'm going to another brand because the ownership cost is too much.

Once any vehicle is out of warranty, then its the owners problem not the manufacturer. Same with engines, transmission, electronics etc

PS : OC takes about 1/2 hour DIY, faster than for me to book in a service, drop the car off, wait a full day and pickup the car after the service.
