Repair for DTC code P0020
Hi All
I got DTC code P0020
'A' camshaft position actuator circuit (bnk 2)
Has any one had to todo the fix ?
If so can give some tips
On how to go forward with process

First ... Do you want DIY or just need more info. Was anything done to your RX recently that could have triggered this code?
If DIY, do you have the tools and just need directions?
Best thing would be subscribe to TIS for few hours and download the procedure.
Also this code is some what applicable to all v6 Lexus engines. [the procedure and steps would be unique].
This issue is not unique to "hybrid version" and you would get broader audience in the parents 3 gen RX. Let's alimgive it a few days here and if you don't get much response we can move it on your request.

Got it
So actually Yes it got Overheated for a few minutes prior because water pump went out, it triggered the CEL it was on since Overheat incident,.
Just other day after new Pump installed T/stat. installed by Mobile Tec to due the difficulty /unexperienced
. Question would 87 octane use on/off cause the CMP code ?
I changed the oil every 7500 or annually use Mobil/ Penn SYN & top off during the interval by checking on Monthly.
I located the CMP senor ,but see on similar 2GR FE they remove and clean VVT Solenoid as well.
So far only cleaned CMP sensor not Solenoid
I learned need a Multimeter to check actual CMP ohms spec.
Were can I get the TIS Procedures from?
