2022 NX 350h - Air Cond while in idle - noise while in idle

I understand that the air conditioner works when the engine RPMs are up and air is running through the condenser coils although when setting in idle - battery only, I'm getting luke warm air. Is this normal? There is also a winding noise coming from the engine when in idle - battery only. Thinking about calling service.
Any input is appreciated.

The engine is not required for cooling. What you may be hearing is the compressor and/or fan that are required for the operation of the heat pump. If you're getting lukewarm air then there may be a problem.

Check if you have Lexus Climate Concierge on and if you have Eco Climate on or not. If the AC is not cool enough, try turning it all off and see if it gets cooler or not.
