I like the car overall, it's a Lexus!
Could use wood on the dash and the shifter is not my style fwiw.
The Prius has a different key, sort of, and doesn't need a shifter - let''s move on, that shifter really is useless and the space could be better used IMO.

I doubt Lexus offers a wood option. I guess we would have to cover with a wood kit. 28mpg city is incredible for any vehicle nowadays, let alone a SUV. I am POSITIVE, it could be stretched to 30mpg, it depends upon loan and usage. 28mpg is an estimate, Toyota has always been very conservative with ratings.
Looks like 100k RXs will be sold next year.

1sicklex, just noticed your posting. in case you missed it the lexus rep at the detroit autoshow said 36mpg city and 31 highway with 270hp. in the city cycle the engine turns off at traffic signals and can run on batteries in rush hour. the engine drives the front wheels with the electric motor in the rear driving the rear wheels and the electronic distribution box (the big silver box) is under the hood.

GSDoug, 36/31 is awesome, and if that's the initial rollout number - hybrid sales will explode if they can keep the price reasonable. Can't wait to get one in a year or two with a luxury car look and feel though - I would need some wood and basically a 330 look with the light burled wood ... mmm, nice. The pics someone posted look like maybe they tried to save a little on the interior but it is hard to tell from pics sometimes?

the continous pursue of improvement from lex is impressive. now it's got the rx400h, i can slightly care less about the somewhat-initially-disappointing new gen gs debut.
a thought comes to mind is-- what's the possibility of lexus gonna rolling out a hybrid sports sedan??
