There was some guy claiming to be working for Toyota in Japan that posted in Edmunds town hall saying he is working on a new Toyota Century. That may possibly become the new utra lux. model above the LS that has been rumoured that comes with a V12.(the old century is also a V12). The V8 hybrid is just another LS (LS600h).

the new century huh? now we will need to see what it looks like. i hate to say, but the previous century, which it's a true monster at that time, it's too outdated for me when i grew my knowledge in cars. so they need to come out with a good new century now

but yeah, if there is a new century, then it doesn't make sense to put the v12 in the LS

Not necessarily. GS has three engine options, wouldn't be too outlandish to have three in the LS. I'm sure some would still opt for a proven V12 over an as-yet-unproven V8 hybrid system.
