i sure hope they dont use a cvt for power delivery that would take all the fun out of having 500hp along with the fact that most cvt's use a steel belt between conical gears. BOOO! lexus/toyota needs to stick with a more traditional gear box otherwise it wont be a "performance" vehicle as its intended. you wont even get to hear the engine at full song unless doing a high speed run. LAME!

here we go again, lexus is following the other manufacturers. 1st started w/ the Benz inwhich all series look the same, the front that is. if u were to de-badge the mercedes most people will not be able to define a c230 from an e500. totally defeats the purpose of "showing off" which we all do but wil not admit. add bmw w/ the same approach. now after seeing the IS next to the new gs, they're pretty much identical except for the size. the LS600 by picture and contrast is pretty much a fatter GS(meaning similar look). I for one would love to see the new LS w/ a different shape & style to seperate and create its own identitiy exteriorly.

*as far as purchasing the new LS, i'll wait b/c you could barely find a good deal on a GS right now. so i'll sit on my 05' for 2-3years and wait for the leftovers

Lexus has stated that they are looking for a 'unifying' look...so the new LS will resemble the GS and IS somewhat...

aldo, that's PS job... no one has seen the new LS yet, so i don't think anyone can really comment on that

but lexus did say that all cars will follow the L-finesse, that's why the gs and the is have certain same "feeling"

in any case i think the gs and the is do look different enough compared to all the different mb models
