You can get it by Christmas if you order the GS Neiman Marcus Special Edition.

$65k and it's yours by December....

Otherwise, the GS450h will most likely be available by March, 2006.

The video said it will get in the high 20s for mpg....that's it!!! I was hoping in the low 30s....

I don't like to buy the 1st model of anything brand new. My thinking is to buy a 2008 GS hybrid in 2010 when I can get it cheaper. What do you guys think of this strategy?

It's true that the car will get high 20s, but realize that there is a V6 engine in there. The electric engine adds power, more so than to help minimize gas consumption.

I too do not like buying the 1st model of anything (and yet I have ordered the new IS350 already...). If you are going to buy a hybrid, realize that the technology is great, and expensive. The premium prices for hybrids probably won't go down til 2010, which would be time to release a 3rd gen hybrid. If you want to lease it, it's so much better because you pay for the depreciation of the car, but not the long term maintenance costs to keep up a 2nd gen hybrid engine. The next gen hybrids should be much more effecient, reliable, powerful, and affordable. Think 3rd gen Prius, or the Volta.

2010 is four years and three months from now. I'm patient, but I don't know if I could wait that long for anything. Certainly not to wait that long for a car. On the other hand, it's something to look forward to. If you really want it, then develop a plan and, most likely, you'll have the car long before 2010.

Not bad but if you wait until 2020 it should be real cheap!
