i always thought the 2is is the first lexus with mp3 playback capability? somehow i was under the impression that the current gs300 and gs430 system doesn't play mp3. please correct me. that's why when the 2is came out everyone wasn't too happy about the 3gs lacking these features (including the aux)

yeah that's the thing. for the current gs300 and gs430, i don't think it has mp3 and wma capability.

but good, that means on the gs350 and gs460 we will see it

I'd bet Run Flat tires will be the only way this car ships. Otherwise they might offer a small donut (doughnut) tire in the back.

In fact I thought I remember someone saying that Run Flat tires on the 3GS were to get everyone used to it so when the GS450h shipped with it's limited trunk space, getting Run Flat Tires wouldn't be too much of a shocker.

Run Flat's aren't my preference. I'd rather have a donut and 4 conventional sport tires. The ride is much better.

so that's like a unversal plug or so for all mp3 players?! i wasn't aware of that.

i was thinking you can burn mp3 or wma cd and the system will play them. i didn't think about the possibility of having a "real" connection (not aux) for mp3 players
