Question on GS450h...
Hi Pplz!
I've been visiting this lexus forum for a few months now but decided to join since I will soon (I hope ) be getting a GS450h in the next few months. I placed a deposit for the car in October of last year I believe and the dealer at Longo told me I was 23 or 24th on the list. I don't know if that will be a long wait, but I guess I can be patient. I just wanted to ask fellow forum members if it would be a good idea to modify a GS450h. Examples like rims, exhaust, body kit, maybe engine work, and audio. I ask this because I know these will obviously affect the fuel consumption of the car and would like to know some opinions if any to "fix up" the car or not. I've decided to get a Lexus because I know they are reliable cars, since my grandpa used to own a 1990 LS400 that he drove for 60,000 miles and roughly 2 years ago gave to my uncle. Right now we have a 2004 GS300 but I don't really drive it since it is my grandpa's....but I take turns driving the GS, 2005 Prius, and my 2003 BMW 525i. I have driven for the past 6 years BMW's and decided to switch to another brand because I wanted something different...heh Well hope to hear from posters soon!
Thank you!
P.S. Main reason for the GS450h is the fuel I will save cuz my BMW goobles gas like crazy....I rarely drive it anymore...heh...less than 17,500 miles on it...plus rims, body kit, exhaust and all those goodies...sigh...stupid gas prices!!!

Welcome to CLublexus, I hope you saw this

As for mods, we have no true idea, since this will be a first, a luxury sport sedan hybrid. I do know people are modding Prius, up to getting bigger batteries to give the car more hybrid power.
The basics should be fine, i.e bolt ons like exhaust, wheels, a drop etc.
