Four seats is still an option, five standard.

Still would love to see pricing. I am getting very anxious and this lack of pricing info is excruciating. IF the 600h is between $80 and $90k, I will purchase one, but if it is $100-115k like some have suggested, I just can't see justifying that purchase. I would be very happy with a fully-loaded LS460L if it meant I could save $25k or more.

Seeing as how they still are no where near the power of the MB S600 or S55 AMG, I can't see how Lexus can go into the $100k range.

Maybe I missed it but is the 600h RWD only or if there going to be an AWD version as well. All original hints pointed to an AWD version.

only AWD it seems

I looked on the overview section and it shows the only options as:

4 zone climate control center
pre collision system
rear-climate comfort seats
premium 4 seat package
dynamic radar cruise control

Mark Levinson and Navigation are standard among many other things!

After reading multiple car forums, this car is a grand slam. People love it, shocked Lexus came out with something like this.

First Glance
Lexus Shoots for the Moon With a V-8 Hybrid
By Jim McCRAW

Introduced on Wednesday: 2008 Lexus LS600hL long-wheelbase hybrid sedan

Is It Real? Yes. So real, in fact, that Mercedes-Benz and BMW executives were seen running from the press conference to convene strategy meetings.

What's the Point? No other manufacturer offers anything like this car, with a V-8 engine and a hybrid power train. And a safety system with a camera that watches the driver’s head. And a 19-speaker 450-watt sound system.

The Company Line: Bob Carter, group vice-president and general manager of Lexus, said the LS600hL is “simply the most advanced gas-electric hybrid system ever developed” and that the car is “the most technologically advanced automobile in the world.”

The View From Here: In one fell swoop, Lexus raised the luxury-car standard several very significant notches above the competition. Is this too much technology in a single car? Time and warranty costs will tell.

What Makes It Tick? Powered by a new 5.0-liter V-8 engine, a new continuously variable automatic transmission, new and larger electric motors and all-wheel drive. The combined gasoline and electric power sources total 430 horsepower.

How Much, How Soon? The LS600hL will be on the market in April, 2007, as a 2008 model, at a price in the neighborhood of $125,000, similar to the Mercedes S-Class and BMW 760iL.

How's It Look? Well, it sure does look like all the other Lexi out there in the showrooms, only longer and shinier. And way more expensive.

The new LS is such a beautiful car. I'm sure it will be a very competitive rival to the germans. Looks like i may be getting this car in the future

$125,000 !!!!!

I'll be saving up forever, it'll be LS 8000h LL before I can afford that!

I think that's probably speculation, although I'm delighted to think that the Benz/BMW execs were at the presser...that's quite possible.

i still think a loaded ls600hl will be right at the 100k mark. 125k i think that's too expensive, not sure if that would sell well.
