Seems like the LS600hL unveiled in New York is a dark blue car instead of black from these close-up shots . . .

It's a current oversight on the LS 430. However you do get 3 seat memory settings for the driver, and separate side controls on the driver's side of the passenger seat.
But h20_247 in https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...44#post1752044 identified one photo which showed the passenger memory controls. I'm not sure if this has been photoshopped on, but it provides hope that the oversight will be rectified in the LS 460.
I admit to watching out for this detail on each New LS site/reveal event. So far, the Lexus.jp site does not show passenger memory on its large, forward interior pic. The LS 460 L shown at NAIAS, the LS 460 shown at Geneva, and now the LS 600h L do not show the passenger memory. But it's possible that since these cars are pre-production, hand-assembled etc., that it was not included.
One further evidence which points toward hopeful realization of more cabin needs, are the right steering wheel buttons which were just placeholders in the NAIAS LS cabin, but now feature the multiple labeled buttons in the Geneva and NYIAS floor models.
This is the shot, enlarged and contrast edited for viewing pleasure. It can be seen in original form at http://www.lexus-europe.com/about_le...60_gallery.asp
And note the contrast between the vinyl dash in the very nice LS 460 interior here and the leather and dark wood of the 600h L., which is extremely nice, darker and rich.

I'll have to talk to the product planner soon. But on that note, the 3 existing New LS we see are hand build pre-production cars. Not every detail is exactly final, including the color of the paint and trim names...but they will eventually be released. As for the non-memory passenger seating on those pre-production cars, i think thats just an oversight that should eventually be addressed on the actual production car. The gray/green/brown colored LS460 SWB that we were able to sit in had some quirks which were expected. The glovebox did not open easily as the glovebox door actually rubbed against the leather wrapped center dash console, there were no lighted door sills and the engine cover in the engine bay was made out of fiberglass with simple fasteners to attach on top of the engine. The engine cover was painted and finished with a logo to cover up the engine.

so i guess we all just want to make sure it's in the final production unit

We should start a petition LOL. "Lexus LS Owners for passenger seat rights!"
I think the driver face monitor thing looks better now when active with the red diodes...although the whole monitoring thing makes me feel a bit under the microscope.
And I like the '600h' special color, but I wonder how it will look on different body colors...maybe a choice of colors?
Also if the 120 mpg Prius comes out, will Lexus upgrade the 600h L performance? Or perhaps there is this 'economy or performance' button that is rumored.
