Hi, I have a 5 days old Rx 400h. I put already about 900 Km (560 miles) in it, every day a little ;-) For the first time today I have experienced the same pulsing effect what you wrote about. It was on highway at about the same speed you indicated. Cruise control on. First I though it is the road surface. Then I accelerated up a bit more but the frequency of pulsing did not change.
I was still believing it's the road surface however I've been driving on that part of the highway with my previous car quite a lot in the last years and never experienced similar things, although the suspension of that was different, more sporty.
I did not pay special attention to the screen, so I do not know if it was really the electric motor or the road, but your message started me to think about it. All was back to normal after about 5-10 km (3-6 miles). Next time it happens (hope not) I will check the energy monitor.

No pulsing on mine either with 10k miles on it. Doesn't really make sense why it would be pulsing, the motors only come on when you need extra power or the battery needs charged. Doing 60+ mph isn't going to use the battery from my understanding or perhaps i never noticed it kick on.

Hi again,
I went back and checked the same section of highway I described above and I can confirm that it was the road surface for me.
No pulsing otherwise.
If on cruise control the electric motor comes in time to time depending on the up or downhill angle of the road. But the changes are totally smooth. If you do not look at the energy monitor you should not notice them otherwise.
Check the road too, joedaddy1 where you experienced the pusing. I am almost certain that it was the road for you, too. If not then take your car to a Lexus garage for checkup.
