Default Phone ringer?

Can anyone confirm if the internal bluetooth system in the RX400 "rings" or makes a tone when a call comes in?

Mine seems to rely on the phone itself to ring.
Bad if it's buried in your carry on.

I know in the IS250 and GS300 they both have internal ringers for the blue tooth phone calls. So the RX should too. I have never had my blue tooth registered to a rx yet and recieved a call.

Yes on mine there is a ring tone from the car (I have the RX330 but it should be the same system as on the 400h). I have a Razor V3c on Verizon.

Yes, the lexus site does have bluetooth information.

Bad part is none of the Verizon phones ring through the RX400h.

But, on my other car 07 Camry Hybrid, the Verizon phone does ring through the system.

Makes you think??

Sorry I was wrong, it is actually the phone itself that was ringing. However because it mutes the radio at the same time you can't miss it, even if it's in the trunk.

Yes, but imagine the phone was on Vibrate.

What happens then.

That's what alerted me there is nor ringer.

Appears Verizon disabled something in the phones.
Guess that's why there is a class action lawsuit against verizon, I would like to join in on that.

What I don't understand is The 2007 Camry Hybrid rings with the same verizon phone. Guess they figured out a way, I beleive if the radio can mute, a ringer can sound too.

Yes the Lexus Bluetooth implementation is not great, but at least the sound quality is quite good for a handsfree.

"update"

Even with today's flash firmware, I doubt Toyota/Lexus will do anything about this. How many people really complain about this?

on my 2006, I confirm I definitively do not use the bluetooth telephone access as after using 3 differents mobile units and different tunings on the administrator menu of the 400H.
The sound is sunddently with a lot of "micro cuts" and unworkable.
I doubt also for any software update, as I supposed It is a hardware issue and as Europe (so Switzerland....) does not interest LEXUS (only US market look interesting for them ).
Hope that US guys will be successfull where our European meeting USer/Lexus team had no resukts.
