400h Pro: No wood trims
400h Con: No wood trims

Believe it or not, besides the hybrid component, this is the key reason I picked the 400h over the 330 when it first came out. My wife and I both hate wood trims.

But that's the past and I think you can have wood trim as an option on the 400h as well.

p.s. It is important to not that battery that goes dead after an month or so, is actually your normal car battery and not an hybrid battery. Anyone can jump start it easily or replace it easily, it is just an 12v battery, like any other, just smaller than other vehicles.

Also, Hybrids actually have much better real world resale value than any other cars on the road. This is mostly due to the better mpg they get.

What you get compared to RX350 is

- Faster
- Quieter
- Better mpg

It is like buying an V8 engine that spens less gas than V6. What is there not to like exactly? You pay more premium for V8 version from other manufacturers, and it gets really bad mpg!

The 400h AWD fills in instantly when traction is needed and when more power is needed since it is a source of additional electric power. That is why the AWD 400h is faster than the FWD. It is also, according to Lexus specs, a half second faster from 0-60 than the AWD RX350.
Even though Lexus is quoting 6.9 sec for the RX400h AWD and 7.4 sec for RX350, in real world tests they are the same. Car and Driver got 6.8 sec for RX350 AWD and 6.9 sec for RX400h AWD. There has been much discussion about performance difference between the two and the general concensus is that they are pretty much the same.

On the RX350, there is a 1 mpg difference between the AWD and FWD model. While what you are stating about part time AWD saving gas over full-time AWD may be true....it would only save 1 mpg at best which is pretty unnoticeable. I say at best because there is more savings between FWD and full time AWD than there is between part time AWD and full time AWD because of weight.

The full time AWD system on the RX350 is pretty nice and is a fairly low loss full time system.

In the 400h, you get torque steer no matter e-AWD or FWD. No torque steer noticed with the RX350 AWD I drove.
