We just got two warnings on our dash today: check VSC and check hybrid system. We apparently need to take the car into Lexus right away. We've only had the car about a month. Anybody else get these warnings. Rob

Those plus ABS and another, I forgot , the boys from Japan flew in and decided to change the Inverter, rear motor, Which was non functional, and associated harness. My car was 9 months old with 12,000 miles.
It was fine for 3 months and 3000 miles and last week at a stop light, it died.
After several attempts it finally started and just the Check Hybrid system light came on. Back at dealer and after checking with Japan, they will again change inverter. This is very rare, obviously I am not the only one now!!
After resetting the fault in the computer everything works O.K, but they want to know what's going on.
Good luck and Happy New Year.
PM me for any additional info. Larry T
If you have Nav, check that the rear motor is working both in power and regeneration. Mine was not originally!

Mine doesn't have the nav.
One major thing I've noticed is that our mileage has been pretty crappy. On the current tank of gas I have just over 17mpg. The tire pressure is right on and I'm using premium. At 17mpg, thats just 4mpg better than my Hummer H2. Not very impressive. Rob

Cold weather, grade of gas, cold warm up eats a lot of gas, the more the engine runs , speed, how heavy a foot, etc. That does sound pretty bad, though. Steady speed when car is warm should yield better mileage, or in town on electric under 40 mph, with a light foot!!
The weather here in the Northeast is still mild and I am getting 25 as an average, even at 80mph sustained!
Much better than the temporary Honda CRV I got as a loaner briefly!
Mileage increases as the car is broken in also!!
