Default I am all excited, I will be getting my RX400H back soon

I got the RX last Oct so I would have transportation while I stayed at the house I bought in TX. I am very excited about getting my car back. It has been sitting in the garage at my house in Texas collecting dust. Illness in the family has forced me to stay in NY. I planned on spending winters in TX but my mother got ill and I have to stay here to take care of her. there is no sense having a house in TX that I can't live in so I am putting it up for sale. I will fly from NY to TX on the 30th, rest up on the 31st and drive back early in the morning (4 or 5 AM) on the 1st. I figure it should see daylight around the time I hit a 1/2 tank. I am taking the long way back to NY because I want to stop off and see a cousin in SC. I can stop and have breakfast on my first fill-up. I loved my Jeep grand Cherokee when I got it but the RX400H will cut my gas bill to less than 1/2 and it will still have all the room of the jeep. I was going to keep the Jeep and the RX but after reading how well the RX does in the snow I am pretty sure I can sell the Jeep. The Jeep Overland is loaded with extra features but the RX has every thing the Jeep has plus more. The only thing the RX doesn't have is the miles remaining.

PS The first time i left the car alone the battery went dead. It was parked in the garage from Nov 20 to Jan 10. This time I put a Deltran battery tender on it. It has been parked from Jan 28 to when I return on March 30. I'll give a report to see how it worked. This tenders are designed for long term storage without harming the battery on normal car, I hope it worked on the Hybrid. This will probably be the last time I let it sit so long without starting it.

Does the battery tender work on the hybrid battery or just the standard 12 volt? It is the hybrid battery that will drain out fastest with long-term storage, and since the hybrids don't have starters, you need the electric motor (motor 1 on the 400h) to turn the gas engine.

Anyway, congrats on getting your 400h back. It is definately too nice of car to be collecting dust. Let us know how the battery tender worked.
