Default Am I getting a good deal?

My dealer has quoted me a price of $46,800 for a new 400h with premium plus and nav and xm radio. He has also offered me $28,000 for my 2005 RX 330 (no nav) with 41,000 miles. He also tells me if I buy it this week, I will also get an $1,100 income tax credit on my 2007 return.

There are only two Lexus dealers in this area and they have the same owner.

Good deal?

I am not sure about the trade in price but the price on the RX400h is a little high. Not too bad but I think they should be able to go a little lower.

Germaine huh?

I bought the premium plus AWD w/nav for $45,600 in January (but without XM installed).

It sounds like a pretty good deal to me based on prices here in Tucson. As others have said, it is a little high on the new car, but they also seem high on your trade-in. The local dealer prices cars near sticker, but makes up the difference in inflated prices for trade-ins so the spread is about right. Then there is always the $1100 in government money.
