Default I am giving up on the factory NAV and am buying a Garmin GPS

If anyone is dissatisfied with their Lexus NAV you might want to check this out. I have owned a Garmin for a long time and am very happy with it. When I broke a plug in power adapter Garmin replaced it for free. So when it came time for a new one I got the Garmin. I don't regret getting the Lexus NAV because of the back up camera, and the other displays such as the power use, climate control screen etc. Even though I like the Garmin better than the Lexus NAV I never would have upgraded to the Garmin if the Lexus worked while in motion.

I have an old Garmin 2610 that I keep on my dashboard and have been using the garmin with the Lexus NAV. I have found the the Garmin is in some case better than the Lexus. I got stuck in traffic a few times and pushed the detour button on both units, The Garmin found a detour route and the Lexus didn't. The maps on the old 2610 are old and have never been updated so I decided instead of buying the updated maps I bought the new Garmin StreetPilot 7500. It has a lot more features such as traffic alerts that are not available in the Lexus NAV, plus I can use it in my out car. Her is a link. I don't like to have the NAV sitting on my dash but I also don't like the fact I can't use the Lexus while I am moving so I guess this was my best option.
Here is a link the gives a description of the Garmin

I paid $956.72 for it with free shipping and no tax

PS as a side benefit the Garmin can play books and old radio shows. When I go on long drives I like to listen to CDs and tapes of old radio shows. But now instead of buying CD and tapes I will start down loading stuff to listen to. On a long trip listening to stories makes the trip go faster
