Cool 18" 2007 GS Hybrid Rims

OK what is the consensus opinion on the GS Hybrid stock rims please?? I have a local dealer offering me new rims only for $1450 Canadian bucks. Deal or no deal? Anyone want to buy my factory 17s with rubber? Only 5000KM (3500 miles) What value are they? Please help me out here. Is it wise to just swap rubber on rims for summer/winter driving or are a second set of rims the only way to go? I would rather use just one set of rims 24/7/365.

i think the hybrid rims are too busy looking.
somehow, the fatter spokes make the wheel look smaller.

I love them. I like the contrast of polished alloy and chrome. Definately stands out. Stand out too much for some people, but if you like the unique look, it's good for a stock wheel.

Holy jeez that's an awesome price!

Tell them to take the 17" rims and tires and give you a discount on those rims.

Jump on the deal!!! They're kind of hard to find.

Seems like a pretty good price, and possibly I would be interested in your rims without the rubber though (what size?) - also are these run flats with the tire pressure sensors?

The GS 450h rims are very distinctive & attracted me to the car plus the performance & mileage. Notwithstanding it is 1 of about 5000 distributed in North America. Downside is that if you are into mods like the IS350 or 2nd gen crew, there does not seem to be much out there yet.

If you have a snow season like I do here, the choice is clear - either drive a winter vehicle (my Camry is currently stored for such) or swap your tires. I may chose to drive the Lexus in the winter at some point so -1 -1 the tires to a 17 inch rim and P245 45 R17 or P225 50R17 (from P245 40ZR18), for the traction
The GS 350 rims or GS430 17 inch rims would still give my car a decent look in the winter as opposed to some cheap looking painted rims
The other thing for me is whether to go with a run flat winter tire - I am initially thinking no as extra tire pressure sensors add about $400 - I can handle driving around for the winter with the TPS warning light permanently on - any thoughts on this idea appreciated

I doubt he'd sell the rims with TPMS sensors.

Default Update on 18" GSh rims

OK so I got a great deal on the 18" GSh rims with sensors and caps for $397.50 Cdn each. I will add my own rubber. Suggestions drivers? I would like to improve cornering and wet weather slippage if possible. So my factory GS250rwd rims 17's with/without rubber are for sale. 3600 miles on them. Offers? (That's you Leemer! )

Congrats! As for tires, you could search on tire rack. I'm not familiar with current tires for dry/wet but I've heard good things about Michelin's being quiet and grips well. I've only looked at all-season.

The title of the thread says GS Hybrid Rims, so probably yes, GS450h...

As far as where... He stated a "local dealer" and he's from Canada so...
