1.) Where was that youtube video shot?
2.) Isn't the car's ECU speed limiting? They must have reprogrammed it for that.
Rominl - We're not worthy, we're not worthy, we're not worthy.
Must have been fun on the corkscrew. Did the traction control and stability control work pretty hard?
If I ever get this thing, maybe I'll freak some people out by taking it on the track at Sebring instead of my Murcielago. Or, better yet, start those stupid internet rumors by taking a video of it passing my Murci. Then for months people can say how it owned a Lambo. Anyway, no thread hijacking - Rominl, YOU DA MAN!!!!!!!

lol that's funny, murci? get away
no idea about the youtube video, it's km/h so maybe asia (do they have that long of a public road?!) or middle east (famous for seeing videos like these)
it was a very special invite, i was lucky to be one of them, couldn't say much ahead of time @_@ yeah corkscrew was super fun, you really have NO idea until you are driving on the track going 60mph entering the turns!
actually the vsc and vdim was pretty forgiving (at least on this car). i was able to toss the car around and the system didn't really kick in much at all trying to "correct" it for me (consider that i was sliding already).
by comparison, much better than my gs400 and sc430 where it's so sensitive it's almost no fun

Lexus Fanatic
Great to hear all the fun that can be had in a flagship luxo barge.
Maybe it's just my bad driving, but my admittedly very short experience with the LS600hL at the ToL event tells me that the hybrid feels more front-heavy (due to AWD?) and prone to understeer than the regular LS. The hybrid definitely cornered flatter, but somehow I think I had more fun in the regular LS.

Laguna Seca Raceway IS-F Video file download now
Moderator Edit: As mentioned by the OP, the IS-F had a starring role in the Laguna Seca event, of which there is a video to give an idea of what the overall preview event was like (the overall event included the LS 600h L, GS 450h, and especially the IS-F; the IS-F is only in this video).
For more information on the IS-F portion of the Laguna Seca event, see here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...22#post2845422

Moderator Note: Threads Merged
Thx for the post, however this is the LS forum and there are posts on the IS-F teaser vid in the IS forum already. This occurred at the Laguna Seca raceway, same place as where the LS 600h L was allowed to be tested however.
Let's keep the LS forum for LS threads only please. Thank you.

This is the pic showing the cars at the event, evidently there were at least 3 LS 600h Ls present:

Yeah, typical car design to design understeer into the cars as the average driver can deal with that better than oversteer. Personally, I prefer the cars to oversteer slightly, but I never had a problem dealing with that. It's a feel thing, I guess.
Not sure why it should feel more front-heavy. If anything, with the battery packs, I would thing the opposite. Is the electric engine very heavy?

thought so too, but there's no event this weekend, and last weekend it was at SF which was only 2 hours away. maybe some cars are in need of service already? hahhaha
