Default I just picked up my LS600hL yesterday evening.

It’s everything I was anticipating and much, much MORE. I’ll post some pictures in a few days.

As to keys, it comes with two regular key fob devices and a key card to be kept in the wallet. The wallet card doesn’t have the buttons to allow remote door unlocking, but allows everything else including door opening and running the car. I haven’t decided which one I’ll use.

Quiet. Wow. Zero noise when at a stop. The turn signal was on and the ticking was “Twilight zone” loud because it was the only noise. When starting off, the only way to know when the gas engine starts is by glancing at the tachometer.

Power. Wow. No shifting, up or down. I couldn’t resist one zoom, and it was like a 767. You’re pushed back in the seat with an incredible rush of speed as it rapidly builds and builds, smoothly, without even the tiny “bumps” of a 460 shifting.

I also tried a rush from 40 to 70 getting on the highway. Much to my delight, no downshift hesitation, just a smooth rush of IMMEDIATE power and speed.

Ride. It has the air suspension and the difference between “Comfort” and “Normal” is very noticeable. I’m not sure why I’d ever have it in “Normal” or “Sport”. I tried one quick maneuver and it handled quite crisply (on “Comfort” yet), without any hint of its extra weight.

The trunk is smallish, but adequate. The only negative is that it opens slowly. It came with two sets of mats (normal and all-season).

To each their own, and all of these things were exactly what I was looking for in a vehicle. It’s great to be back in a Lexus LS. My BMW goes back to the dealer tomorrow, and good riddance. I’ll miss the manual transmission, and the engine sound, but not much.

I actually got a discount off the MSRP, plus 25 cents. The 25 cents was from a bet with the dealer that the LED headlights were low beam only.

Now there's one happy new owner!

Helmar - very happy for you too - sounds awesome.

Congrats on owning quite probably the most sophisticated and smooth power train on the planet.

WOW! Sounds awesome Helmar! Good luck with your new ride.

I'll bet this is the first year in your life that you're hoping for early snow so you can try out that AWD!

Congrats, Helmar.

It's going to be tough to beat that $0.25 discount around here.
