They removed some of the clumsy features up front, but a substantial
change in the back is what is needed in my opinion. Especially the
rear bumper area which is one of the most blah features of the current
stock GS.

I want the mirrors. Looks good. should've done that when they released the '07. And either they upped the contrast or they finally make the HID lights LOOK like HID lights this time. I dunno about that glowing "L" that looks rice.

So do we think they bumped up the headlights to 5000k or more? or is that just a photoshop adjustment ... or just for marketing just like ride height always looks lower in the brochures

I would demand for my car to have those lights. If they can give us tires with loud road noise and we can force them to replace them with quiter sounding tires, I think we should force them to give us HID light that look like HID lights. lol

Higher the Kelvin temperature, the light output actually diminishes, it is a known fact that 4300k (roughly stock K temp) is the brightest. people who chooses 5000-8000k simply do it for the color.

flaking..not sure of that term. You mean the event horizon where the light turns to a blue or purple? Yes. They should. At this point in time, people jsut consider that type of light as HID lights. I actually had a person come up to me and ask me why I didn't get the Xenon lights. Doh! Had to show him I did by turning it off and on. HID has more of a snap on/off to them than conventiona(sp) bulbs.
