It is more of a review rather than a technical analysis however. I do find it quite interesting though. The quietness and honking aspect is my interpretation of the article. I think the sentence that best describes the meaning behind the article could be identified as:
"Instead, it's almost as if the Lexus injects its occupants with an invisible dose of Prozac: You still notice the annoying things going on around you, but you just don't care."

I sent a suggestion form to lexus that a warning alarm comes on after 30 seconds of turn signal; the AARP fought it and won (South Florida branch, by far the largest contingent).
