My sticker was before taxes or any 3M was 66K, I got it for 59K. Brand new, 12 miles on it. Plus it was the only one in the dealership so it was high demand/low quantity at the time.

With a monthly nationwide sales volume of 100-200 cars, I'm afraid there's no such thing as a "fair" price for a GS450h. The sales price is set entirely on a case-by-case basis and is driven by the particular circumstances of the dealer and car. My local dealers would not discount more than $2,000 off MSRP. I got $7,000 off for a "demo" car which really wasn't a demo car since it only had 485 miles on it. But I had to go 300 miles to get that deal. From what I read on this forum before, most people paid MSRP or close to that for their GS450h.

Have you shopped internet fleet departments around town or around the country? I would think you would get a better deal on a GS450h outside of CA, as they sell more out here than they do anywhere else in the country.

Fleetrates claims they can get it for you at invoice ($48,312). Don't know how reliable they are, but there are many who swear by them.

For the last 2 yrs, I've waited til September, when the next MY cars are about to arrive, and have gotten $6k off my RXh and $4k off my GSh. Otherwise, I've been told no discounts here in Hawaii, unless you know someone at Lexus.

Yeah Servco really puts the screws to you guys there on the islands. I'm not a fan of distributor companies i.e. SET or GST and etc.

*Actual color, options, and trim level may vary. 2008 GS 450h Hybrid Sedan Automatic Invoice/$48,312 Est. MSRP/$54,900 *
I haven't dealt with them so I don't know if that means they can get invoice pricing, or, if they're just noting the invoice price. Most probably the latter, but like I said, I don't know how reliable anything there is. Only way to find out is to go through the build process and contact them as the site gives you the option to do so. There seems to be a "membership" fee involved as well.
Here's an 07 for $52k: http://www.fleetrates.com/specials_v...3a09343d63a351. I'm sure you could haggle that down further via the "Make An Offer" button.

Hmm. So next new or pre-owned means "not for a new car"? Interesting how they claim to have access to so many used 2008 GS' already.

The one link that you just posted above is for an 07 GS450h for 52,975, which is obviously not "$52K". It's amazing that consumers still fall for the trick of thinking that $49.99 is actually $49, and not $50. Given that the MSRP for that GS is $56K, you're only getting a bit over $3,000 off MSRP, which is not a great deal by any means, because there's going to be a shipping charge of at least $1,000 involved.
And lastly, with MSRP of $56K, this is a completely stripped down GS -- no ML radio, no Navigation, nothing but spoiler. I didn't even think Lexus made any GS450h like that. But I can guarantee you that it would be extremely hard to resell one. If a local dealer had one like that on the lot, they'd have to sell it for below invoice to get rid of it.

Here's a GS450h configured in a fairly typical manner on Fleetrates:

As you can see, you get about $4,000 off MSRP, or about $3,000 above invoice. It's an Ok deal, but not great. Certainly better than some dealerships in some areas like mine are willing to do.
