Removing the battery from an LS600h
I found this on another forum (non-Lexus related) where the guy had to do this procedure at the Toyota Technical center for training purposes. I thought you guys would like to see this.
Looking in the trunk...
Looking in the backseat
It's out!
This is a Toyota Technical center vehicle and they wanted us to remove the battery so they can run some tests on it....It is out of an 08 LS460h....Amazing stuff...To buy the battery new it would be about $8k plus labor....

Ah.. I messed with some of that in my hybrid class. Its pretty interesting stuff. I dont believe the battery is quite that much, but its up there. Using an engine hoist like that is pretty much the only way to do it too.
Its warrantied for 10 years, so dont stress the cost.
There is some cool technology going on there.

I imagined it to be larger than that.

It's interesting how they got the battery down in size, thus probably allowing more trunk room than was possible in earlier models. Probably future models can improve on that even further.

....unless something is MISSING on the 600hl
I think they use a 6 cylinder gas engine instead of a V8.
