They gave me a IS as a loaner once, and never again; it's just way to cramped and I need more space.
I would rather do the mods that the GS450h can handle rather than the new IS-F.
Now if there is ever a GS-F, I'd seriously consider it, but the body of the IS and the feel just isn't there for me. I don't care how fast it is, no thanks.

3 Years is not a long wait for the next Lexus super car, the GS-F, rumor is 500+ hp V10.

This is amazing b/c this is MY dilemna...
The IS-F is so much more of a drivers car and well, its already done. It actually gets better MPG than my 01 GS 430. It is smaller though

GS 450h needs modding, something I am not sure I want to do again so soon. No exhaust sound . Looks fantastic, love the sound, great gas mileage and seems the "right" choice...

Of course a GS 450h M-F and IS-F Sat/Sun would be ideal

I have two, with one on the way, children (all under 5), so no brainer for me... GS450H. If I had money to throw to get something just for me, then IS-F would do too. With all that said, I would say GS450H is better deal, as a total package.

AGREE!!!

IS is way too small, I would pick either LS460L or GS450H.

Been there, done that - already had a fast 2IS and traded up for a 3GS. IMHO, lease the 450h for 3 yrs and wait for the GS-F, or better yet the LF-A. . .

I wonder why in such a "driver's car" like an IS-F they wouldn't have a manual transmission.

For this reason alone, I'd go GS460h. (Yes, I know the M-B AMG cars only have AT as well...)

^ Demographics. Did you know that less than 5% of cars sold in N. America have manuals ? Even Bmw only truly offers a MT in the 3 series, and at that only 9% of all 3 series have a MT. IIRC, less than 5% of 2IS are MT. AMG is a good example, MB knows their target demographic. . .

Occupant room and really adequate power makes the GS the daily driver choice for me... IS-F is a blast, but at 6'3" and with 2 kids, it is so not practical (unless you buy it as your 3rd/4th/etc vehicle).... if no spouse/no kids, then the IS-F would be hard to beat as long as you fit/enjoy driving it.... the 3GS has that great blend of room, style and power that I so enjoy... LS460L is my next step up.... IS-F is fun, but I won't be a buyer... now, you put out that GS-F on the other hand.... I'll have to rethink the LS460L in that case.... LOL.....

$0.02.......

I'm also 6'3 and that little car is not practical at all. Unless your a Gnome with a family of Gnomes that need zero room to move/function then go for the IS... otherwise get G'd up!
