Question Navigation DVD v7.1

I have a 2007 RX400H which came with Nav DVD v6.1. I just got my hands on a new Nav DVD v7.1. Problem is, I can't figure out how to load it!

I don't have a rear seat entertainment system, so I don't even know where to load the DVD. The info on this forum about how to load this DVD for other models doesn't seem to apply to this model.

Anybody know how to do this upgrade for a 2007 RX400H?

Have you checked under the passenger front seat? Sometimes the disc reader is mounted there.

I read about the info for other models as well, so I checked under both front seats, and the rear seats, as well as the trunk. I looked for a hidden slot on the dash (a la the hidden DVD slot behind the gold Lexus emblem). I even raised the well cover in the trunk (where the wheel changing tools are) because I thought it might be under there. All I found were some batteries and power stuff.

That's why I said "The info on this forum about how to load this DVD for other models doesn't seem to apply to this model."

I'm stumped. Anybody actually know where this is? Like anyone have access to a service manual?

This has been discussed many times. If you had searched for "NAV DVD" in this forum, you would have come up with this:

GOOD LUCK!

One last place might be the glovebox.

My wife has the car for the next few days, so I'll try again later in the week. From the pics, it appears that the silver electronics case I took to be part of the electric motor function is indeed the assembly containing the Nav DVD. Thanks so much for this PDF! I'll post my results. Hopefully it'll be good news!
