Hey y'all! This is my first post on the forum. I googled my problem and came upon the forum, so I decided to jump in.
I have a 2006 Rx400h, 37,000 miles. I'm current on all my services, never had any major service issues (other than having to replace tires at 25,000 miles which annoyed me). Oh, I also know nothing about cars, so sorry if the information I give is useless or irrelevant.
This morning, I was stuck in traffic, and all of a sudden my CHECK VCS SYSTEM light came on. (I am on a quarter tank of gas.) I also got the red yield sign with exclamation light, the ABS light, the squiggly tires light, and another exclamation sign in parentheses light.
I called my service technician (Westside Lexus in Houston), and he told me that the gas cap may be loose, but that I should still take the car in to be checked out. I'm currently in Fort Worth (for law school), so I would have to go to a local dealer here. I plan on tightening the gas cap and seeing what happens for a few days. I'm also going out of town for about a week, and if I still have lights when I return, I will definitely take it in. My dealer assured me that the car will not blow up (my big concern).
Any thoughts, suggestions, admonitions, etc.?

If the gas cap was loose the "Check Engine" (symbol of an engine) would light. The warning lights you are getting indicate a problem with the braking system such as a defective wheel speed sensor. The least $$$ thing it could be is low brake fluid due to cooler temperatures. However this and all problems should be checked out by a dealer.

***Update***
The car sat in the parking lot all day, and before I started it again, I checked the gas cap. When I unscrewed it, a TON of air came out and it hissed loudly. I've never heard that before. I screwed the cap back on very tightly and turned the car on. No warning lights, no exclamations, nothing. I'm going to give it until next Monday and see if I have more issues and then decide if I need to take it in.
Up here, I go to Sewell in Fort Worth. I'm not very impressed with them, but it's close to my house.

***Another Update***
I was out of town from Thursday through Monday, so the car sat parked for about 5 days. When I went to start it Monday night, the light on the display panel for the clock, A/C, etc. didn't come on. I was very confused, as I'd been driving a dinky PT Cruiser for five days, so I couldn't remember what exactly a Lexus does. I messed with the dimmers, but then I just restarted. After a short delay, the clock panel lit up. Odd.
I haven't had any more issues with engine lights, so I'm going to hold off taking it in. I had it serviced about three weeks ago, and I have 4,000 more miles to go before my next service (about two months for me).
