Default Saw my LS600 in London

I've been driving in London for a week, and only seen four Lexi. Two of those were recent LS's - a 460 - and the other one was mine in the same color.

I was pleasantly surprised to realise what a stunning looking car this is when you see it from other than inside

I'm driving a hire Mercedes S320 and they are a dime a dozen here - as are new Bentleys and Porsches, but the LS600 is obviously rare in these parts.

One good thing, it immediately stood out on the road. That styling is certainly a great change from past models.

Last month, I did see atleast six+ LS 460l & one 600hl parked in the Kensington area of London. Also, I felt the same way when I saw a few LS's (&L) while driving around in Paris, Nice, and Antibes. My daughter snapped a picture of a black 600hl parked in front of a swanky hotel in Cannes. The interesting thing was that just about all of them were black and or black sapphire and chauffer driven.

I was in Dubai last month(3 full days), & while I saw lots of Lexus ES's, quite a few GS's and IS's too, plus a couple of LX570's and LS430's, I did not see a single LS460 or 600hL

Yes they do sell the ES in some countries other than the U.S., like in the Middle East (Saudi, U.A.E., etc.) for example.

We were in an unmarked ES350 taxi in Dubai . . . here are a couple of ES350's outside our Dubai hotel . . .

Since there are only 2000 or so LS600h's in the world, and it was West Kensington, maybe it was the one I saw.

I like to drive the LS too, but I wish I can have just a little more time with a chauffeur driving me in my LS460L

Well, we did have high tea there : https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...01#post3566601

Works out to be about $150 per person for high tea, & the food is nothing to write home about, not worth it IMHO.

One of the receptionists at Burj Al Arab did gave us a very nice picture book on the hotel as a gift though, & we can see their suites as well as some of their other restaurants are very nice, nicer than the one where we had high tea. But that's the only time slot & place in the hotel we managed to get a reservation for anything, & high tea is the only choice available for us before we had to leave Dubai, since we did not try to book in advance before we got to Dubai, & we were scheduled to be there for only 3 days.

Their suites(they are a suites only hotel) are about $2000 per night minimum, the biggest & the best ones even much higher than that, so the prices are a bit steep , but the Grand Hyatt we stayed in is nice too as you can see

Back to Lexus, I fully expect to see some new LS460/600's there, & I was paying attention to look for them, so I'm a bit disappointed I didn't see one there.
I saw only a few S-class sedans there too, much less than I expected, we saw more Bentley's & RR's there than the S-class.

I had high tea there, and while eating decided I wanted a coke to wash down my sandwiches. I got a little glass bottle and I believe it cost me $20!!

Good times,
Jonny

The last time I was in London for a short holiday I saw several RX and IS models, 1 SC 430, and two LS 430s (one at Heathrow). The LS 460/600h hadn't come out yet though.

But according to BBC News, at least some CEOs in London have acquired one.
