It took me a good 2 hours or more, because I didn't have the right tools with me. So with limited tools I was struggling to get two 10mm bolts off from hard to reach areas. Those took the most time. And then going out to buy what I need But, if I were to do this again I can do this in less than half an hour with the right tools. But for your XM kit your going to have to route your wire to the trunk or some place which will take a bit of a time to hide the wiring.
