gs450h? or gs460?

If money wasn't an issue, i would go with the GS460. I got the 350AWD and love the car, but you can't beat the v8 power, plus the car sits lower than the AWD. I understand that it is more fuel efficient to have the 450h the way gas prices are, but who knows. Next time around, i'm gonna aim for the V8, thats just me.

I bought my GS460 a few months ago after driving all three models (350, 460 and 450h). I went with the 460 over the hybrid because I didn't see a dramatic difference in fuel economy to justify the higher pricing. I also didn't like that concept of "no shifting" with the hybrid's transmission. The hybrid never shifts gears and after years of driving manual and automatic transmissions, I am used to feeling the shifts.
I think the hybrids from Lexus will improve over time where the benefits for fuel economy will be dramatically more efficient. For my next GS or LS, I'll get the hybrid, but I currently love my 460.

Well, I clearly have the 450h and if I was in the same position again I would still get the 450h and if not that then the 535i... the 450h is an amazing car, it is loaded with technology and when compared to the other V8s in its class it saves money pretty much from the start. The pricing of the 460 vs 450h are very very close.
Just buy what feels right, for some the lack of shifting bothers and for others it doesnt, personally I think the solid pull feels awesome...

I would go with the GS450h. It is the fastest car Lexus makes behind the IS-F. The fuel economy is great for how much power you have. I personally like the no shifting feel of the tranny, it just pulls forever.

I am in the same predicament.......I am choosing the GS450H. To me since Lexus didn't put higher hp at least 380 to 400hp, it doesn't seem powerful enough to warrant the step up from the GS350. The GS450 on the other hand for a fast car does get good mileage....especially in city driving which the GS460 cannot touch. I am also buying a Lexus for smoothness and the GS450 seems to have the most of it in the GS line.
