I changed my oil today and when I saw this, I had to share.
The oil filter funnel (or whatever it's called) is a very cool addition. I removed the oil filter without spilling a drop.

It directs the oil right into the oil drain pan below the car.

yep my 2004 330 has the same thing.. I just hate removing all the freaking panels underneath!

In the thread I grabbed the picture from. (I think the 330/350 forum) someone mentioned they are able to remove the oil filter from above.

Next time I change my oil, I may try that approach.

Id rather not go from the top. When you change the oil you're suppose to warm up the engine. With that said, the exhaust manifold sits on top of it Id just rather not get burned than take another 5 mins to take the panels out... but thats just me.
