As I've said, they've never offered the Glacier Frost for the LS460/600h in the U.S. This is the only one in this color I've seen here, could be the only one they've ever sold in this city too ?

Yep, in that parkade, I always try to pick those spots next to spaces with the diagonal stripes where no one is allowed to park, so I can position the car as far away from the parking space on the other side, often with the wheels on one side actually on the striped area.

Actually on that day I saw your car, I just parked my SC430 on one of those spaces & was standing next to my car & going to head for the entrance with escalators leading to the Superstore, when I saw those 600hL headlights coming towards me, you actually passed right in front of me & I realized it's a Smoky Granite LS600hL .....

We're going to have to start our own LS spotting thread soon. I've been spotted quite a few times by some of the Lexus owners in the Canada thread, mostly near my condo in Burnaby.

Good Lord, is there no privacy left in this world?

I had a meeting in Saddle Brook NJ and the lot next to where I was had several limo's parked in it one of them was a LS600hL in black with black interior as I went over to look at it from a distance (I was running late) a driver told me it was $120,000 they paid for it. When I said I knew what the car was he was surprised someone knew about it. My dealer has a big backorder on these also. They were selling several a month.

And I think the LS is the only Lexus model that sold well in Japan ? I think the GS and IS probably have too much competition from the much more established Toyota Crown's in Japan which are just as luxurious and well equipped, if not more.
Yes the LS is probably the better sellers over here, although the IS did quite well. It is the younger crowd that are buying the GS over the crown, the crown will never lose that image of being and old guys car.

So, wouldn't the GS be less affordable for most young people than the Crown's are to older people in Japan ? since the GS is within the same price range as some of the Crown models .

Yes, and that is why I the GS sales have not been that great I believe. I see more LS than I do GS around where I live, of corse that is not a true representation of numbers sold.

True dat, but the LS600hL is no slouch either.

Or maybe I'm the slouch. It's confusing.

Isn't that the truth. I really like the way it comes up to speed on highway on ramps.

Yeah. Smooth, steady power. And so quiet you don't realize you're already at the limit.
