Default Two questions on the LS600h

I just joined and know somewhere in the posts there might be some anwers,

I love the car but would like to override the screen block. Read here somewhere that there is an upgrade disk? I've had the car since November and would love to rid of the dimming altogether.

Second, I previously owned and 750i BMW and like the highbeams especially. Can you replace the yellow highs with a Xenon and where can you purchase them.

thanks
John

welcome to clublexus

1) upgrade disc won't allow you to use the nav when driving. if you want you need the override module. email chung@prestigioussociety.com for more info

2) you can put HID kits in there, but you will need a relay or something otherwise the DRL won't work

Thanks Rominl, I've sent and email and we'll see, it would be great to get rid of the dim outs.

I'm going to look for a shop around Princeton that would be able to install a conversion. I'm getting to old to climb around cars but would like the brighter and white highbeams.

Thanks for your help

John

These guys should have the unit in stock and they do a great installation job. They do all the aftermarket work for Ray Catena Lexus. Ask for Scott Goldy.

And if you like that have them put in a k40 like I did......awesome

I forgot, they also do the 3M clear bra for the front end that I highly recommend, they did mine.

If you want Sirus radio they can also over ride that system to accept it.

They may do HID upgrades, I just listed what I had them do and know they did a good job.

Thanks Garyr,

I've already purchased a module from Chung so it's a bit late for that. Ocean is quite a drive from Princeton, but would be worth it to have it installed.

They work on the LS600h?

Perhaps I could work a deal with them to purchase the K40 and have them install the override module at the same time. You recommend them, sounds good.

I am still looking for some good 9005 bulbs, the manual states 60 wts, I don't know how much over that I could go, found some xenon 9005 at 65 wts.

I assume I can contact them through the website.

thanks
John

John,

They are about 30-45 mins from Princeton. Yes they work on LS's. I think they would absolutely install the unit even though you bought it.

Theirs a Mall near by have them drop you off while they work on your car.

The K-40 isn't cheap but I can tell you how many times it's saved my azz on the highway.

This is where I installed my override button.

They don't have a web site, you will have to call them. I'm not sure what bulb your referring to. If you mean upgrading the fog lights to HID's use the 8000k color, it will match the stock light color.
