Default Battery for the LS600hL Card Key

Well, I'm getting a warning message that my battery is low on my card key. Interesting that the car knows that.

So I drop by the dealership parts department, and they open up a drawer with literally dozens of different small batteries. But, no, they don't have mine. In fact, they've never seen one like it before. Frankly, it is a unique battery (a CR2412), but PLEEEZE a dealership can stock batteries for all of their keys. If it was dead, I wouldn't have been able to get into my car. Crazy.

Radio Shack didn't have it either, so hello WWW.

Yeah they should stock the battery, but like the NAVI update, a lot of this stuff is new and they are doing stuff for the first time...I do think they can be better prepared for this though. Special order it seems...

but still, only been a year and battery went out on you already?

I actually more surprised that your battery is getting low, I have had my car for about a year and a half and no signs of slowing down. Bummer about the dealer not having the battery though.

Your dealer should have this; it's not that uncommon. $6.95 on Amazon.

Default Another Battery Source

Here is another source for the battery. Their price is $3.10. There is always the shipping charge, so you have to make the best deal.

These batteries have a long shelf life - typically 10 years, so if you are going to keep your car a long time it might be a good idea to keep a couple on hand. I am quite certain that dealers are not selling these for $3.10.

Yeah, but shipping is included.

Another dealer might sell it for $3 and charge you $4 for shipping.

You know how it goes...

I've always found remote batteries at the larger drug stores like Eckerd, Walgreen's, CVS, etc.
