GS450h Owners - How is your brake pad wear?
As a new 450h owner and a Toyota Camry Hybrid owner, I wanted to ask the other 450h guys/gals if they've had to replace their brake pads yet on their cars. . (and not due to a TSB or other issue, but due to wear).
I ask because so far my TCH has virtually no wear on its pads, however, it seems reasonable as the hybrid regen braking soaks up most of the speed before the pads engage. As front brakes generally take most of the load, and the TCH is front wheel drive, it makes sense.
As for the rear-wheel 450h, which I've only had for a few thousand miles, I wonder how much the regen helps with the rear wheels. I've notice more brake dust that I would have expected, however not nearly like my Bimmer 7, so I know the pads are doing some work.
Thanks!

and congrats on the 450h

Likewise. I'm at around 15,000 miles and I still have well over half of my pads left. For a car with this much bite and braking power, I think that it is great!
To my knowledge, the car utilizes 100% regen braking for the first inch or so of pedal travel. So that would help on brakes. The way I judge my braking is watch the power gauge and when it stops going deeper into the blue I let off a bit.
