Myabe you can try to post some url to the forum or to the moderators, ppl here can help you correct the errors. Good luck.

its easy to open an account with an online photo hosting website. I use photobucket.com

and they provide easy links to just post the images

OK, I have no new photos yet. We just flew back from Seattle a few hours ago. I could not resist. I took it for a nice test drive of about 30 miles around the city. The environmental conditions were ideal with temperatures in the mid to high 70's and fairly low humidity for this area this time of year. The AC was off. Guess what I got for gas mileage? You will not so I will tell you....46.4 mpg. I was traveling at between 30 and 50 mph most of the time, but I did have to stop at numerous traffic lights. I'm sure that in the real world, (turning the power off for stops to grocery store, etc., very hot or very cold) the mileage will not be this awesome, but I am very impressed with what it got this evening.

I had it on the ECO mode and I tried to follow the common sense rules of driving to save fuel. BTW, the HUD is fantastic now that I know how it operates. I love the navigation guidance on the display. Also, there is NO doubt about it. The voice recognition system on this new generation is SO much better than the previous one. I paired my G1 phone on the system quickly. While I was driving I thought I would try to place a call to my son in Seattle solely by voice recognition. I went through the process and said "dial by number". I announced the number rather quickly and it worked flawlessly. There was no way I could have done this with the previous system on the first try. Sometimes, I could not do this at all on the RX400h.

The ride on the new model is greatly improved over the old one. Basically, everything about the RX450h is far superior to the RX400h.

BTW, while on the flight to and from Seattle, I did a lot of reading of the Owner's Manual. One thing that caught my eye was what they call an "electronically controlled suspension". I do not believe our 450h has this option. Is it even available in the U.S.?

not available in the US. It is actually the same system found on the performance package in the RX330/350. I actually have this option on my 330. Basically it lowers at highway speeds for better aerodynamics, and also lowers when the engine is turned off for easy access. I wonder why they removed this feature...

I'm curious. Was this figure in the mileage readout on the dash or the blue vertical bar in the Nav display? I had the same exact figure in that box that indicated that was my best mileage but it was there when it came to the factory with 34 miles on it. I'm thinking there may have been a way to run the front wheels at the factory on something like a dyno to charge the traction batteries. Or I might be all wet with my theory.

On the two displays 'overall mileage' and 'mileage since last fill up', I'm averaging just over 30. Yesterday I dbl checked by mileage and gas pumped when I filled it and came out about two tenths higher than indicated so I'm very happy. Only difference in my driving is I use the ECO mode as well and try to accelerate keeping the needle in the green ECO area. HWY cruise is usually 70.

Default Mileage, Quiet and overall satisfaction

I'm in the market for a new SUV and will buy either an '10 MDX or 450h.

Overall satified with my '03 MDX with 128000 miles, suffient space, still a reliable car, however; don't like the mileage 17-19 mpg, a bit noisy, doesn't have bluetooth and other newer features.

Of those who have a 450h could you please answer the following:

1. Actual gas mileage in city, highway ect travel?
2. Fit and finish?
3. Road, wind and other noise?
4. Acceleration and handling and ability to maintain straight travel on highway.
5. Back seat comfort and storage space.

Appreciate your answers

I reset the average MPG on the instrument panel readout and started on the test drive. After about 30 miles of city driving, the reading was 46.4. On the Nav readout ("history"), it kept saying that the best was 28.5 ever since we picked up the car on June 25. I just cleared it this afternoon after we had the tutorial session with our salesman.

I do have a question for you experts. Actually, it is my wife that needs to know. She is considering getting the new I-Phone instead of an I-pod. From what we read on the Manual, it sounded like the music playing part of the I-phone is not compatible with this Nav system. Is that correct?

I am now going outside to take some photos with the digital camera. I might need some help from you folks on downloading them properly on this site.

don't forget shots of the headlights!

you might want to use a photobucket account, then it'd be easier to post pictures on here.
all you do is upload the photos, copy the direct link, come back to this thread and click the little picture icon (looks like the mountain and moon) and paste it. and you're set.

If you use the handy ipod adapter wire, you should be able to control the ipod via the navigation. I also believe the RX and the iphone 3G S both have stereo bluetooth so you can just stream music through bluetooth to the car.

You are correct. Yesterday at Wall Mart, I asked the techy salesman which ones were blue tooth capable. The iphone and the 8 or 16gig ipod that looks like the iphone were. The original ipods are not blue tooth capable but sure hold a lot. I may get one. I bought the USB extention cord for 15 bucks (works well) and found through trial and error if I send music to my memory stick and (don't) compress it, it plays very well. Compressed not so good. A 1gig stick holds quite a bit and I have several and can change them now from the top of the console with the extension cord.

Gosh this car is great.

Here are some better photos I hope. I tried to follow Spoon808's instructions. If it blows up this site, then blame him ;-).

It figures. It didn't work. Hey, I think I saw what was wrong. the pasting resulted in http:\\ repeated twice. Here is another try. I give up. I can't get it to work. Can someone please offer any advice? Could the files be too large? I chose the 17 inch screen size (1468 by 680 I think). There were a total of 15 photos.
