Loving it
Picked up a 2009 a few weeks ago with about 65000 miles and ML sound.
Most fun car to drive I've ever owned. My son asks to borrow it all the time to use instead of his mustang GT.

Destroyed my engine - now what?
I got a check engine light the other night, accompanied by the temperature gauge swinging back and forth from full cold to full hot. Turns out the water pump seized up. My mistake was to then try to limp it 20 miles back to my favorite garage. After about 15 miles I had to pull over and call for a tow. The engine is rattling and I'm told that the damage could be $15,000. KBB value on my 2007 GS450h is approx $10K. Any suggestions?

Great Car!
I just picked up a 2007 silver GS450h with 112k miles on it from a private party about a week ago.It has a few minor issues (rear passenger window won't go down, parking sensor is pushed in on front bumper, needs fluids changed, etc) but mechanically it runs and drives great! I've owned 2 GS400's and currently have a GX470, and so far this car has really impressed me! The acceleration is amazing! I have a '95 Toyota Supra NA-t that is pretty fast, has 335 RWHP, this car probably wouldn't beat it but it's right up there. I love the Mark Levinson sound system and all the bells and whistles this car has.

Update
Anyone still here? A few weeks ago I sold my 2007 GSh and got a 2016. They are completely special order now. It is nebula gray with red interior. It has every option including triple beams. It is a huge improvement over my old one.

Rattling could be waterpump because the bearings went.
Anyway. You can buy an entire used engine for 2k on ebay
Or you could selll your car as is.
Or part it out, body parts, interior, electronics, transmission.

Hi there, new here. Simon, from the UK.
Just bought a 2007 GS450h in purple with cream interior.
It's the SE-A model without the Moonroof as Lexus call it! (Do we not drive these cars in the daytime?)
One other feature it's not got is the Adaptive bit of the Cruise Control, but as far as I know it's got everything else!
Loving the drive & the power!

Welcome. I am hoping to become a member of the gs450h group soon. Still looking into the years and possible stepping up to a 2013, but right now I can seem to justify the additional cost.

Just bought a dark grey 2010 GS450h, after owning BMWs for years.
Tried both the 3GS and 4GS, the 3GS is noticeably more powerful.
There is a switch under the accelerator pedal at WOT, it makes me burst out laughing.
It's not as fast as my old M3, but not by much, and far more comfortable to drive.
Overall what an amazing car! Big, silent, powerful and economical.
