Default PCV valve DIY (with pics)

OK. It took me more time to post the DIY and upload the pics than it actually took me to change the PCV valve.

sorry for a dumb question, what is the cvp stand for? and why it is improtant to replace when you change the spark lugs? thanks

PCV = positive crankcase ventilation - it is a one way valve that allows pressure to escape from the engine crankcase. My dad worked for Toyota for many years, and I actually worked the parts counter at his place for a while. The mechanics would usually ask for a new PCV valve when they did a tune up on a car, not sure if it actually goes bad if you don't change it. I know that on other cars VW/Audi, it is not recommended to change unless you get a check engine light.
