I just dont get the hybrid aspect of this car....I guess the performance is amazing and the fact that you get gs350 mpg is amazing. The gs300 is more fuel efficient I think.

Hi,

don't think like that.
My neighbour has a GS300 and it takes about 10,5-11L per 100 km.
I need only 8,5-9L per 100km,....so there is a huge difference.

The hybrid is much quicker and makes more fun, the only problem
for many people is the small trunk......however
...and here in germany the tax for a hybrid is really small, the gs300
is much more expensive.....!

Hybrid rules !!!!

Rarer
Runs cleaner
Quieter
Faster
Class leading passing power
Similar MPG to the 350 on the highway, better in the city
The wheels

I thought about a 350 and drove it a few times and enjoyed it.

It is rarer because it does not accomplish what people would expect a hybrid to do....and people dont want to fork out the cash for it....runs cleaner, very good....quieter, faster, class leading faster, decent mpg....wheels, hmm....alrighty man....
The car is nice but in my opinion, it does not carve a niche in the marketplace...I wonder if it will remain in the line up in 4gs

No its rarer b/c its a limited production model for Lexus. This is not a high volume car, limited to 5k units a year worldwide and only 2k a year in the USA. I'm not saying its the greatest car in the world, far from it and you are right that its a misunderstood vehicle and not exactly a big WANT on peoples shopping lists.

I am sure the next GSh will be better as the new RXh is better and its a 4500lbs SUV that gets 30MPG! Hybrid tech keeps getting better.

Hi,

average speed was about 120-130 km/h.....about 80mph (only highway).
It was a night trip, very relaxing,......just enjoying the mark-levinson
sound system during cruising.....lovely

I guess, it is possible to drive this car a little more fuel efficient then
i did,.....will try the next time on trip to mediterranian sea.....

Well as of late I've stopped babying the car and the power is just too much to ignore. I'm averaging as Lexus stated 23 MPG for the last 2 months or so. The car is just so much fun and the abundant torque and power makes it hard to cruise. Highway MPG is always pretty amazing.

I've hit 400mi on a single tank before. And that's hard here in Hawaii. I'm lucky if I get 5miles on the freeway before I run into traffic. I think 500 is out of the question in our driving conditions here.

I think the GSh is more of a "performance" hybrid unlike the RXh, which im sure can explain the difference in power
when i got the GSh i thought of it as V8 performance with V6 mpg...perhaps that is what lexus is aiming for too...

The hybrids should get a lot more mpg's than the regulars. I get 380 average on a full tank driving 50/50
