GS450h and APSSS

GS450h and APSSS
Like the navigation system on my 1999 GS 400 some years back, the Active Power Stabilizer Suspension System was a feature that I woundn't have offered an extra $50 for when I bought my car but now can't imagine driving without.
My first impression was that this was just another geeks-gone-bad gimmic aimed at separating me from my money. However, now that I have had the chance to compare my GS450h with APSSS along side other Lexus sedans through some winding mountain curves I have grown to really appreciate what it does.
Each week for about the past year, my weekly commute to a client has taken me on a route that rises from 1000 ft to around 3400 feet through a series of winding turns. I have driven this same route multiple times with four different stock Lexus sedans:
1999 GS 400
2007 LS 460
2007 GS 450h
2009 ES 350
There simply is no comparison between the GS 450h with APSSS and the other cars. The combination of the h's quick throttle response and the ability of the APSSS to reduce body roll makes it a blast to drive through these curves. The more I drive it, the more I am impressed by my GS450h.

executive matchup
only option for us non-APSSS hybrid owners is to do the F-sport sways. but i'm waiting until there's a fix to the noise problem some members are experiencing right now.

I agree about that "Power Active Vehicle Stabilizer" should have been provided to the testers for the mags for review because it drives me crazy the way that they all talk about the poor handling from the GS450h. I love the way my 450h feels with the "Power Active Vehicle Stabilizer" it is so fun to drive through the twists and turns here in Arkansas.
