Arrrghh! I found a really nice 2007 with very low miles. But it was smoked in. I don't smoke and the odor is quite strong. I am hopeful (but not sure) I can remove most if not all of the odor with professional detailing/cleaning. Having said that, how much should I deduct off of Kelly Blue Book because of the strong cigarette odor?

yet. So I've retained my override feature. Aren't there self made hybrid disc
out there that have at least 2007 maps and retain override feature.

I tried to make a hybrid disc and all I got for my trouble was two wasted dual layer DVDs, a dead 12 volt battery, and several hybrid cuss words to go with my hybrid vehicle.
If anyone has instructions for this, let us know.

I bought an '06 and thought I could just slap on a door sill with the hybrid badge but Lexus charges $300 per sill. Keep that in mind.
At first it didn't bother me, but people are shocked to find out the car is a hybrid and they ask where is the Hybrid badge? Plus I wanted RX 400h on the rear too.

Can you elaborate on the override feature, how would one go about it? O just scooped up an 06 400h and love it but the grainy GPS falls short of the other nav systems I have. Thanks!

If it is an 06 Gen 4 Nav with original Nav disc, All you need is to push the menu button then the override sequence of pushing top left corner of the screen follow by bottom left corner of the screen twice will gain you access to the service screen. There is a button that say Override which allow your front passenger to help you enter a destination address. Initially I was told I have to stop the car to do this, but I've done it while the car is in motion. I haven't used this feature for a long time, it's nice to have when you are driving to an unknown location and you want your passenger to help you out.

Rx400h - 2007 model
we have leased rx400h 2007 model and the lease will be over within next few months. Wondering whether it is worthwhile to purchase or return back. It has about 37K miles and great condition. The residual value is about 26K. Thanks for helping us make a decision.

That's pretty good residual and they could actually take that back and make about 3-5K on that on a re-sale. I would keep it if you're looking to stay in the Lexus family. I just picked up a really clean 06 with 40K miles for 25800 and I basically stole it from the dealer - he had it listed at 31K and wanted to move it before the storm hit our area. He bought it auction for 25K.
