Default "ECO Zone" display

The current Lexus website has a picture of an "Eco zone display' in the multi-information display area. My 450h does not have this display. Is it new?

I just picked up a RX450h, straight off the ship, on March 3 and I haven't seen that display.

That's different. We can turn eco on and off using the folder button on the steering wheel. But it doesn't look like that.

I could not find it on the web site. Is it possible that there is an ECO Mode on non hybrid models? As Anita stated, mine is a simple On/Off selection initiated from the folders button on the steering wheel.

It's probably from the HS250h. I drove one a few weeks ago and that looks familiar.

Did a little searching and found it in the ES forum. See post #5.

I guess Lexus wants all owners to drive economically

Default reference in RX section on web site

The RX web page that shows this display can be found at

http://www.lexus.com/models/RXh/feat.../eco_mode.html

I guess they got confused with the ES. Thanks for pointing out the thread with the ES pics. I like the fact that the image of the ES display also show that car moving at 180 MPH...

Yeah, that speedo pinned to the limit was funny.

The link you provided is for the 450h but in the demo video they use a 350 Eco mode is in both, difference being you can turn it off on the 450h. But I'm still not sure where the first picture you posted is from.

In the rollcall thread, someone has a picture of their dash with that display:

It is from an RX-350, so I guess it has some kind of ECO mode.

It should definately be in the RX as well. It tells you when you are driving efficiently, it will stay in the left hand side. If you are driving aggressively, it will go to the far right box and blink at you

I had a 2010 rx-350 without NAV as a loaner today while my 450h was in for the 5000 mile checkup. This is a feature on the rx-350 that you access from the toggle control on the steering wheel.

It would be redundant in the 450h because of the HSI we have in place of the tach. It almost looked like a scaled down version of what is in the Prius.

I was just about to post this. I got a loaner 2010 RX350 and it had the "eco" screen. And there is also an "eco" light that turns on and off at various times. Really annoying and distracting. Didn't have the loaner long enough to find out if it can be turned off, but if I owned it that would be the first thing I did.
