Power Rear Door on RX 450h
When I press the opener on the rear door, it unlocks and nudges open, but it does not raise. My thinking is that it should raise. Checking the owner's manual does not give a clear indication. Should I call this to the service department's attention, or is "no-raise" what should happen? Thanks in advance.

I assume you meant RX450h
The button on the tailgate is for opening manually only. Use the remote or button by the steering wheel for power tailgate. If it doesn't open using the last two options, check inside the glove box to make sure the locking mechanism button to the left is deactivated.

Yes, I meant RX. Sorry. And thank you for your answer. I am surprised that Lexus is going in reverse--on our 2008 RX 400h the rear door opened with power when using the hand pressure sensitive pad on the door. Go figure...

Didn't know that. I had the '99 so I fondly remember the days of no power tailgate at all But I have to say there was a step or two forward. It's no longer necessary to unlock all the doors just to open the tailgate and the beep when opening is one long beep versus a few beeps.

the old setting on your 2nd gen that opened the trunk with the touch of the pad was a dealer setting (lexus personalized settings). Im not sure if this is available on the 3rd gen but you might want to check.
That option certainly wasnt "standard" before.

Can't find the last thread, but someone had the dealership to reprogram to open by pressing the trunk button. Default is unlock only. having done mine, waiting for 5K service. And in the updated manual, reads a dealer programming option.
