its a scam. you can tell when he says hes been relocated several times. most scams typically involve shipping the car and the seller usually not in the country at the moment (or so they say).

i would ask to meet him.

When I was buying my 450h I ran in to 2 deals like this and they both wanted to use ebay or some other escrow for the cash before I got the car and they were both scams.

Hello,

The car is still available for sale. The asking price is $ 17000.
The vehicle is registered on my name and the title is clear (no lien). It is in great condition, no dents or scratches.
It was always garaged and the regular maintenance was done in time. It wasn't involved in any accident and has never suffered any kind of damage.
Also this is a non-smoker car. If you have any questions regarding the vehicle just let me know!
I can have the car delivered to your address in about 3-4 days or I can deliver it myself.
Since I've purchased this vehicle, my job relocated several times, I bought a house and got engaged.
Unfortunately, too many life changing events have taken place and are forcing me to sell this awesome vehicle and purchase something a little more inline with my new budget.
I don't want to offend you, but the car is priced for a quick sale, so please, if you intend to apply for a loan or financing do not reply to this message!
This is the part that raises eyebrows... Why wouldnt he want you to apply for a loan? Maybe because the car has to be slightly investigated by the bank? Hmmm... However, I read that you live an hour away? Dude, its MUCH worth it to take the drive to see if its a real deal or not. I had a friend here who found a similar deal that was 4 hours away so he was gonna go check it cause its worth it. but in his case, the day he was gonna leave he found out through the vin number that it was a fixed salvage. Either way, I think an hour drive it worth the waste of time (if it be) to at least see the car and owner and title and ID and everything to confirm that it is for real. I doubt a $35k+ car will be hard to finance for $17k. When I bought my other car, I was in and out of the bank in less than 30 mins.
