Did any of you notice an increase in mpg after break-in?
I can't say that I did. I got pretty decent mileage on my 03 RX300 and had learned that breaking or coasting in advance, proper tire pressures, etc were key to best mileage. With the 450(h) I started off using the Nav screen power display along with the instant mileage graph in the instrument cluster to change my driving style even more. After all I spent extra for the hybrid so why not drive for the advantages of it .

I haven't tried the current mpg graph. Have been trying to stay in the green eco zone on the instrument cluster gauge as much as possible. Might give that a try.

Turn on the eco mode to tick the mileage upwards a bit. Worked for me.

Yeah, I'll do that on the next tank of gas. I have tried it, and notice it affect takeoff a good bit. I feel like a scientist doing experiments.

Got it with 16 miles last Friday, and now have over 600miles on it.

Well, was time to put another tank of gas in today(yes, I am driving the heck out of it )

My average mpg with the Hess Premium came out to 25.9. Tried Eco mode and didnt notice a huge difference, so it was mixed eco on eco off

Filled up with Shell v-power 93 this evening, and with Eco mode on, and 55 miles into the tank, I am averaging 30.8mpg. It seems Shell IS the better gas, at least by my observations so far. No matter what I did with the tankful of Hess fuel, I could not get above 26mpg.

I started filling up at a different Shell station (different town, different owner) -- my mileage went from 27.6 to 29.8. Seems to be holding in that range.

No ethanol stickers anywhere, but there surely is a difference, a pretty big one.
