The 450h just may have a tighter area.Probably does if he went from underneath.
I didn't do anything with the DRLs yet.I may try the Litechs you had installed.
The LED parking light from V-Leds that JDKane527 recommended is a great match with the HIDs.
BTW,I just noticed you have different trim pieces on your fogs so I don't know if that type trim comes off.
Joeb
The 450h models have some different trim in places. The chrome around the fog light area is one of them.

Yes Jim,I just noticed that in Anita's pic.The 350 has a color keyed squarish piece that can be snapped on and off with some effort.

Joeb,

Interested in doing the DRL mod and maybe the other bulbs as well as the dirty yellow is just not doing it for me. Can you let me know the bulb model # you used and where you ordered them online? Seems easy enough to do by myself, but I don't want to order the wrong bulbs. I have the xenons, not the LEDs, and am interested in upgrading all of the yellow lights to match the xenons.

Thanks for the help!

Rob,I haven't done anything with the DRLs.I've read there's really nothing you can do with a regular DRL bulb because it only recieves half power. You can go LED but you lose the highbeams.
Anita said Litech bulbs are better for the yellow issue so I may try them and they're cheap.
The parking lights look very nice with these. Thanks to JDKane527 who recommended these bulbs.

I did my fogs with Hoen Endurance yellow bulbs.I just use my fogs in bad weather.
Hoen advertises they have a 4000K white that a good HID match.I don't know how good the match is..

Joeb,

This is excellent info. Thank you. One question (and maybe this is for Anita) is what is the model number for the DRL bulb? I have seen a few numebrs floating out there and want to make sure I get the right one. I think the Litech bulbs look a hell of a lot better than the standards, so I'll probably go with that.

Appreciate all the help. I'm sure I'll be back when it comes tim to installing. First time Lexus owner coming over from BMW (I'm trying to keep a car longer than 5 years without it costing me thousands of dollars a year, but we'll see...) and did a few mods with little problem.

Now all I need to do is figure out how to route my satellite antenna so I can use my XM Skydock...

Rob, Lexus conveniently lists all the bulb information in the owners manual. 9005 sounds about right, I think. I don't have the invoice or manual in front of me. One of these days I'll take a picture of the DRLs. I'm curious to see what they look like during the day versus the old bulbs.

Edit: The bulb information is on page 649 in the 450h owners manual. The section is called Specifications. Also includes interior bulb info.

Default Updates?

Hi guys,

Anyone have anything to report regarding color-match etc on the foglight replacements? I did my DRLs and my parking lights yesterday with the Litech (DRL) and the LEDs (from recommended link in thread) and all went well. Considering either doing yellow (joeb, how do they look) or trying to get a nice match for the foglights.

Any and all feedback (as well as links for bulb purchase would be appreciated. Thanks!

This link http://www.lamin-x.com/ will offer an option of a very inexpensive way to not only protect the fog light lens but change the color. It worked for several of us. Here is a link to photos of mine done in the blue tint to match the (h) head light lens. Yellow is also available. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/5648583-post16.html

I finally changed out my DRL bulbs to replace the yellow with something white to come close to the LEDs. I chose Philips Diamond Vision halogens. Here is a photo that I took for comparison with high beams

Nice. I have the Philips Diamond Vision in my fog lights right now. They're great bulbs. How is the DRL color?

I need to take a better photo. In the meantime Anita, you be the judge!

Looks great. The Litechs are still going strong but if the color is better with the Philips, I might switch. Did you change out the parking light bulbs over to LED?

I haven't made any additional changes as of yet. I think my next change out will be the fog lights. I may go Philips there also. Let me take some additional photos that I can post before you replace your Litechs. I am not saying that I am not pleased with the results, it is just that some yellow does exist in the bulb color though not apparent in the photo.

The Litechs are slightly yellow too as DRLs but not as bad as OE. There's no easy solution unfortunately. I have Philips in the fog lights now. They have a little bit of a blue tint to them when on. I bought a pair of V-LEDS bulbs that I haven't installed yet. Maybe before winter. I'm in no rush to change them out for the fifth time, LOL!
