RX400h 'Engine Check' light = Vapor or Charcoal Canister Failure
Greetings to all!
Need guidance on need for replacement of Charcoal Vapor Canister!
Mounted under vehicle - drivers side - has plastic cover that was damaged by road debris.
Lexus dealer quotes test codes of:
> P0441 Incorrect Evap Purge
> P1421 Evap System Gross Leak
Reports that Charcoal Canister hit and case cracked.
Quotes Canister replacement at $1139.00 + labor.
Would appreciate input on whether this is something that I can repair - by sealing crack/leak area?
Also, part number for Canister would be helpful and if you know of a good reasonable source to purchas part(s) from?
Also, part number for plastic cover/shroud that's covers the Canister area and if anyone knows where I can get one?
