The factory workers on that day said " lets drop a marble down one of the B pillar's and see how it affects the new buyer" ! TorontoIS, you are the lucky recipient.

I am sure the dealer will be able to figure out the cause in short order, and you will be happy once again.

Still loving the car!!

mileage is still real good. the computer is very accurate because I've been checking with calculator against the computer. overall it's reading 32.5mpg and I've gotten as high as 34+ on some of the "after fill up mpg's". Anyone know if that fist one is the average of all the fill ups to date?? guess I can look in the book and find out but it's just so huge.

I really like being able to check the air pressure per tire, that's really cool. I check it against a tire gage and once again the display is dead on.

I'm hopeful too, I just wish I could have gone up this week before my long drive for Christmas this week. It'll be driving my crazy until I can get to the dealership next week. I want the car to be rock solid inside and out.

The rattle is essentially constant and is driving me nuts and detracting from my otherwise wonderful experience with this new car.
Have you tried buckling the passenger's seat belt to see if the rattle goes away - if its in the B pillar, it could be related to the seat belt assembly. . .

Yes, I've driven around with the passenger seat belt buckled and the sound didn't go away. I finally had a passenger in the car yesterday and had him press and this and that. We could attenuate the sound by pushing the passenger armrest towards the door. It might actually be the door panel or arm rest that is creating the noise.

I had the RX in for its first 1600 km service yesterday and had them look at the noise in the cabin. There is a guy in the service department who seems to be very good a picking out interior noises and fixing them. He identified two sources of the noise, one from the passenger side door panel and the other from the passenger side dash. As of the drive home today, the noise seems to be gone! I hope it stays that way.

That’s great news and hope it holds up!! I know how bad a rattle can get under your skin.

Weather has been in the 50s during the day and low 30s at night. I run 100% gas no ethanol (and it's regular gas); lucky to have some stations near me that have it. I'm not in a large city where they require all those pollution additives during the winter.

The rattles are better but not gone. I think I need to make another appointment with the noise guy.
